Types of Information We Collect
We receive and collect certain types of information when you interact with the Site. The server on which the Site is located collects and saves only the default information customarily logged by web server software. Such information may include the date and time of your visit, the originating IP address, the pages and images requested, and any information voluntarily provided during your visit. We may use this data for our own statistical analysis and site usage tracking, but if we do so it will be scrubbed of any information that could personally identify you.
We may aggregate user and client data, including personal information that may be input by job seekers or hiring personnel. This aggregated data will be used primarily for internal site analysis and to better serve our users. We may also use this aggregated data for statistical analysis, Site optimization, or the creation of derivative services. We reserve the right to use the results of this statistical analysis and aggregation for marketing or related purposes or to release this data to third parties or to use it for marketing or related purposes. In no event shall this aggregated information, whether maintained internally within Accolo or released to a third party, contain any personally identifying information pertaining to any specific user.
Credit Card Information
Accolo does not store credit card information. Credit card transactions are transmitted to a financial gateway, and we endeavor to protect the security of your payment information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
A Word (or Two) About Cookies
In addition, some of the employers who use our Site may place cookies on your computer through their job postings and may use such cookies to distinguish your web browser uniquely. Accolo is not responsible in any way for these third-party cookies or their use.
Information Collection for Job Posting/Searching
For job seekers: We collect your email address to send confirmation emails, notify you of jobs that may be of interest to you, follow up on a specific referral or application, and to help you with your job search. We will use your email address only in accordance with the preferences you indicate when logging into/enrolling in the Site. We also collect your personal information as you apply for jobs or post your resume using the Site. This information is collected in accordance with the preferences you indicate when logging into/enrolling in the Site. In the event you do not designate any preferences regarding your personal information, we will use it in accordance with Accolo’s default preferences. By applying for a job, you are specifically authorizing Accolo to release the information that you input into the Site to the hiring authority for that job. The information to be released may include your resume, contact information, your answers to the screening questions, video responses, work samples and anything else that you provide when applying. Please understand that when you choose to display or distribute personal information via the Site, that information may be collected and used by others.
Accolo may collect Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) information when job seekers apply for jobs, and this information may be provided to the hiring company in aggregate form for purposes of meeting required government reporting. In no instance will this information, if provided, contain any personally-identifying information.
If you were referred to a job through Accolo’s referral feature, by default you authorize Accolo to update the person who referred you as you progress through the application and selection process. If you do not wish to have updates about your progress available to the person who referred you, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request that the referral reference be removed from the application. Please note that this may also result in a notification to the referral that you requested that they not be updated.
For hiring members: By approving and launching a job, you are authorizing Accolo to communicate job-related information to members and outside resources to fill your job. If you choose to keep your company name confidential, Accolo will not disclose this information in its communications. You must specifically elect to keep your company name confidential.
For those referring others: By referring someone for a job, Accolo will disclose to that person that you referred them. Accolo will also disclose your name to the hiring company.
Accolo users and clients can manage their information and can opt-out of future communications through their personal console, through the main Web Site and within many of the system generated messages.
Although Accolo meets or exceeds the minimum privacy and data security requirements in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including without limitation the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the United States Department of Commerce Safe Harbor Principles, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, we cannot guarantee complete security.
Accolo may disclose information about its users and clients if required to do so by law or legal process or to law enforcement, or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process; enforce contractual claims; respond to claims that the posting of any content on the Site violates any third-party rights; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Accolo, its users, or the general public.
The Site is not directed to children under thirteen (13) years of age, and children under that age must not use the Site or services offered on it to submit any individually identifiable information about themselves. If we learn children under the age of 13 have used or accessed the Site we will delete their information from the Site as quickly as possible.
